Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SNPF) is a chemical-free, low-cost farming system rooted in nature’s wisdom. Its core principles: ✅ No Chemical Fertilizers/Pesticides – Only natural inputs from native cows and local resources. ✅ No External Irrigation – Relies on mulching and moisture conservation. ✅ No Tilling – Protects soil structure and microbial life. ✅ No Hybrid/Modified Seeds – Uses only indigenous, open-pollinated seeds. ✅ Zero Budget – Farmers avoid debt by using freely available inputs (cow dung, urine, biomass). "SNPF isn’t just farming—it’s a return to nature’s balance."
Role of Native Cow Urine & Dung in SNPF
Indian desi cows (Gir, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, etc.) are essential in SNPF because: 1. Cow Dung (Gobar)
Acts as a natural fertilizer (rich in microbes & nutrients).
Used in Jeevamrut, Beejamrut, and mulching.
Improves soil structure & water retention.
2. Cow Urine (Gomutra)
A powerful bio-pesticide & growth promoter.
Contains antimicrobial properties that protect crops naturally.
Key ingredient in Jeevamrut & Dashparni Ark.
Preparation Methods in SNPF
1. Jeevamrut (Liquid Fertilizer)Ingredients:
10 kg fresh cow dung
5–10 L cow urine
